Episode 33! In celebration of Black History Month we would like to highlight two heroes of the civil rights movement. Robert Smalls and Fannie Lou Hamer. Robert Smalls was an indentured servant who freed himself and his family, as well as many others too. Fannie Lou Hamer was a voting rights activist and leader of the Freedom Democratic Party who was shut down by President Lyndon B Johnson during a live television event.
